ministry to children. At Life Church we desire to see the life of every
child enriched and nurtured by God’s grace, power, and love. We believe
that children are the church of today and are able to do great things
in and throughout their community. It is our central aim to move every
child toward maturity in Christlikeness – the ultimate goal God has for
our lives!

Life Church Children’s Ministry is an exciting opportunity to engage children through learning, growth, and developmental based teaching and interaction. We are comprised of two major components – Praisleand (our ministry to ages infant through 5 years) and Kids Coast (our ministry to ages Kindergarten through 6th grade). With smaller-sized classrooms tailored to fit the appropriate age, and an auditorium designed to encourage and foster corporate worship and instruction, we posture ourselves to present a well-balanced environment for the needs of young people today.
It is our deliberate desire to personally and purposefully love each child that comes to Life Church. We also want to be a place of restoration for parental-child relationships, where children can learn to become themselves, and have an immense amount of fun in the process!
We offer:
Handpicked, written, and selective curriculum – personalized to fit the growing needs of every child
Experiential based learning – every child is given the opportunity to “get involved” and apply what they learn
Multisensory worship – music and teaching that engages children through story-telling, hands-on, and multimedia based presentations
Co-operative games and dramatizations – fun ways to present illustrated truths and foster team involvement
Loving teachers – those whose sole desire is to present the Word of God in a caring and loving fashion
Dynamic environment – where kids can be kids, get excited, jump around, and learn to work together with others in a respectful manner as they grow to love, serve, and trust Jesus Christ with their whole life!
Pastors Jason and Candace Chatham both grew up as children in the
ministry. Candace spent the majority of her young life in Salt Lake
City, Utah, ministering at her parents church: working with inner-city
youth and children, engaging them through evangelism and bus ministry,
planning child’s conferences and crusades, doing camp direction, along
with collaborating with organizations like YWAM and Teen Challenge. As
a California native, Jason spent the majority of his young life in San
Diego and Orange County, ministering with his parents through
international based ministry: working extensively across the Mexican
border, building and repairing churches, working with children and
youth of all ages, engaging them through evangelism and healing
ministry, including travel to over 12 nations through music and worship
based endeavors. Both Jason and Candace have a passion to see children
know God intimately and experience his love and favor.
Currently Candace is finishing work on her R.N. and manages a surgery
outpatient facility in Newport Beach, CA. Jason graduated Summa Cum
Laude from Vanguard University with a B.A. in Pastoral Leadership in
May 2007. He also leads worship at Life Church.
Both met at Life Church in the summer of 2002 and were married on July
28, 2006.
