Life Church Missions Outreach

Life Church Missions Outreach links Life Church's resources to many ministries and missionaries who are touching the world in various ways. We currently support 12 ministries or missionaries with outreach activities locally, nationally and in several countries around the world. The Life Church congregation is linked to these ministries through prayer, financial support and by going on short term trips to assist and provide needed help.

Acres of Love

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

Overview: Life Church has partnered with Acres of Love, a ministry with homes for abandoned and orphaned HIV/Aids babies and children in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a result of a generous donation from Greg & Amy Albertyn, Life Church has purchased a home that now cares for several children.

American English Academy

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Overview: The American English Academy is a co-educational day school that enrolls students from the international community who can benefit from our quality academic program and whose parents reside in Sofia. The school teaches English with a Christian emphasis and is located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Serving Our World

Location: East Timor and Thailand

Overview: Serving our World is a ministry to Thailand and Indonesia lead by Mike and Gwen Thomforde. In 2005, a major project to build an orphanage/community center in Thailand called the Good Life Home & Center was built with significant support from Life Church. This building will house 50 orphaned children and it will also be used to train, educate and support the local community.

International Youth Culture

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Overview: Youth ministry reaching young adults in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is an outreach ministry of AEA.

Pastor Moses Vegh

Location: China

Overview: It is a privilege for Life Church Missions Outreach to be supporting Pastor Moses Vegh as he travels as an Ambassador of Hope to the Nations. 2006 was another busy year for Pastor Moses as he went on several international ministry trips and attended key meetings here in the U.S. where he had influence with key leaders in the Body of Christ. Life Church contributions enabled Pastor Moses to build a school in China in partnership with believers who have a ministry to the local people.

Evelyn Komuntale

Location: Uganda

Overview: It has been our privilege to partner with Evelyn Komuntale, the founder of Outreach to Africa. Evie is a former African princess from Uganda who has a burden on her heart to minister to the people in her homeland. Current projects are educating orphans, a medical center in Western Uganda and a diagnostic center. Future projects are building a school for orphans, a Vocational Training Institute and their own hospital.

Camille & Esther Ntoto

Location: Congo

Overview: Life Church Missions Outreach has also recently become involved with Camille & Esther Ntoto. They are from the Democratic Republic of Congo and have been called by God to live and minister in that very dangerous and troubled part of the world. We are standing with them as they have a vision to minister through a Christian radio station that brings the Word of God to over 500,000 people on a daily basis.

Honor the Mothers

Location: Irvine, CA

Overview: Honor the Mothers, a ministry group of Life Church, is an unique outreach effort that provides construction assistance and home improvement services to needy single mothers and widows in our Orange County community. The group values the many selfless sacrifices that single mothers make in raising their children alone and realizes that those seemingly minor “honey-do” maintenance items around the house can often become troublesome issues for these women who are alone in running their households.

Orange County Rescue Mission

Location: Orange County, CA

Overview: Orange County Rescue Mission is right in our back yard, currently ministering to the 35,000 homeless in Orange County. The Orange County Rescue Mission is a Christian, faith-based, non-profit organization that exists solely to share the love of God with the Orange County homeless population. It is their firm conviction that a vital relationship with God is an indispensable part of the life change necessary for a full recovery. Their innovative facilities and programs provide not only food assistance and shelter, but also Christian counseling, education, job training, and medical services to provide a solid foundation for the transition to a self-sufficient life.

Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise

Location: Nationwide

Overview: Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise's mission is to send a message to our troops overseas and their families at home that we care and support them. The objective is to encourage communities and churches to get involved and to demonstrate their support to the troops and their families. Their goal is to offer comfort and share the message of hope and salvation. Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to support our troops and their families at home.

OC Jail Ministry

Location: Orange County, CA

Overview: The Gleaners Orange Coutny Jail Ministry is an exciting "Home Mission" field providing the opportunity to bring about a complete and lsting change in character, attitude and behavior of thousands of men and women. Over 65,000 people will be "booked" into Orange County Jails each year. There will be over 4800 men and women incarcerated at all times for periods ranging from a few days to over two years. Through a comprehensive ministry program including monthly chapel services, weekly bible studies, lay counseling, and special events, they help people reconcile with God so they have a better chance of not repeated the past.

Toby's House

Overview: Life Church is proud to have a strong connection with Toby’s House, a pregnancy crisis ministry that is part of Birth Choice, a leading pro-life organization in Orange County. The Miner family is actively involved in mentoring, babysitting and being the link to those at Life Church who want to volunteer.
