Popular pastor Osteen brings 'Hope' to Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES – Joel Osteen, pastor of Lakewood Church — the nation's largest with weekly attendances of 47,000 — was at the iconic Dodger baseball stadium making final preparations for an event expected to draw thousands Saturday. Tens of millions are inspired by his weekly TV broadcasts, his New York Times best-selling books and his podcasts. "Historic Night of Hope" with Joel and Victoria Osteen, first held a year ago at Yankee Stadium, is a 21/2-hour celebration of praise and music. Osteen, his wife, their two children, his mother and brother will share some of the ways God has touched their lives.
Life Church moves to the front lines in Haiti

IRVINE – A local pastor hopes personal connections between Orange County residents and victims of the earthquake will make the difference in long-term help and support for Haiti. On Sunday Pastor Phil Munsey will welcome Pastor Rich Wilkerson, Jr. pastor of Trinity Church in North Miami to share some of the heart-wrenching stories coming out of his congregation. The church ministers to 10,000, most of whom are Haitian. Munsey will take up a special collection from his congregation and intends to support the Haiti relief efforts for a minimum of three months.
Joel Osteen to Deliver Message of Hope at O.C. Church

LAKE FOREST – The pastor of the country's largest congregation will be making a first-ever appearance at a local Orange County church Wednesday night.
Joel Osteen, who leads the 47,000-member Lakewood Church in Houston, will deliver a special message of hope at Life Church at 7 p.m. The event — held in conjunction with Phil Munsey's "Hope for the Holidays" message – will feature an interview with Osteen and testimonies of hope from others.
Saddleback's Warren: 'We need radical Christians'

IRVINE – In a celebration of song and prayer, the congregation of Life Church marked more than two decades of ministry and dedicated their new permanent home. Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren and pastors from other churches throughout the country joined the Wednesday night celebration and spoke words of encouragement for the opportunities Life Church and its ministries will have in the community and in the world.

IRVINE – Almost 3,000 carpet squares lie dedicated to people who need blessings. The two-foot-by-two foot squares were being laid on Wednesday in the sanctuary of Life Church's new campus. Congregants of the Pentecostal charismatic church sponsored the carpet and selected names of friends and family they wanted to include in the celebration.
